Microsoft Frontpage 2000

These instructions will assist you in opening your site from your hard-drive, then publishing your site to the server. The first step is to open FrontPage2000 and then click on "file".

Next: Click on Open Web

Next: Click on "Web Folders." Locate the web you created on your hard-drive. You may need to search other directories. This is done by clicking on the arrow at the end of the "look In" field. The example below shows the supportcatalogcom server located on the desktop. Your web pages that are saved on your hard-drive will appear as a folder with a globe embedded on it. This indicates it is a web folder. Now click on "Open"

Next: When your website is open on your hard-drive the directory path should be C:\something. Note the example below. If this line says http:\\www.domain.com, you are server side and not on your computer.

Next: Click on "file" then "Publish Web"

Next: Type in the target server .... http://www.yourname.co.nz (or IP Address). Then click Publish

Next: You will be prompted for your username and password. Enter these in all lower case letters.

Wait for FrontPage to complete the publishing. This can take up to several hours if your site is fairly large. You are now complete.
