Changing GST value
With the GST change from 12.5% to 15% occuring on October 1st 2010, you may need to update your GST value in your shopping cart if you charge GST on your products.
Here are some simple instructions to change the GST value in our most commonly used Shopping Cart systems.
If you are not using your shopping cart system to automatically add a seperate GST cost to your products then you will need to manually update the price of any products that will change when GST increases.
SiteBuilder
- Log into your /sohoadmin system - Click Shopping Cart - Click Tax Rate Options - Change your Tax Rate at the bottom of the page to 15% (see Figure 1) - Click Add/Save Tax Rate button

WebFarm Shop 2
- Log into your WFShop2 admin page - Click on Tax Configuration in the left hand menu - Click on the Configure button - Change the GST percentage to 15

osCommerce
- Log into your osCommerce admin page - Click Locations / Taxes in the left hand menu - Click Tax Rates - Click on the Tax Zone you have set up and click the Edit button - Change the Tax Rate percentage to 15 - Click the update button to save your changes

ZenCart
- Log into your ZenCart admin page - Hover over Locations / Taxes - Click on Locations / Taxes - Click Tax Rates - Click on the Tax Zone you have set up and click the Edit button - Change the Tax Rate percentage to 15 - Click the update button to save your changes

OpenCart
- Log into your OpenCart admin page - Hover over System - Hover over Localisation - Click on Tax Clases - Click Edit on the Tax Class you have set up - Change the Tax Rate to 15 - Click the Save button to save your changes

Miva Merchant
- Click on your Miva Store top level menu (the store name) - Click on the VAT option - Change the VAT rate if applicable
There are no GST options available to change in Miva Merchant if you are not using Miva Merchant to add the GST content to your product prices.
